Amazing weekend for a 1st time quilter...!

I have just had the most amazing weekend with this great group of women.

Learning this technique...

From this amazing woman...

The lovely and superbly talented Kellie from Don't Look Now!

Organised by this amazing woman...

The lovely Supermummy Corrie from Retromummy.

And was thoroughly entertained over the weekend by these crafty gals Chaletgirl and Duyvken. (thank you ladies...for your help and inspiration)
Here is a few samples of what I produced...

Practising my free motion swirls...

Practising free motion flowers...

My "Wish You Were Here" pillow top...

I didn't get to start my quiting as I was a bit slow. Pretty good for a 1st time quilter I think! I'm giving myself a break on this - some people in the group have been quilting for 10+ years!

Thank you so much to Corrie for organising such a great weekend workshop! Can't wait for the next one!

More pics and info in the coming days.

  1. oh cath I look terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my take that picture my defence the scales do say I've gained 14 kilos!

ok back to the quilting, thank you so much for your help setting up and packing down and being an extra pair of hands. It was just an amazing weekend and I'm so glad you could make it! every single person there made it a special day and we'll all know how fabulous it was!

I'm asking kellie to squeeze me in twice next year and can't wait to do it all over again - once I've had a good rest of course! I felt like I had a serious hangover!

so glad you had fun and thanks for coming :)
